We are a young research group with a strong interest in ecological, evolutionary and conservation questions. We tackle these questions at a variety of scales and use a multidisciplinary approach that includes field ecology, molecular analyses, physiology, climatology, and modelling.
We are currently leading and working on a number of research programs focused on:
· Impacts of climate change on biodiversity, including intraspecific genetic diversity.
· Climate modulating effects of local interactions among distinct ecosystem components.
· Adaptation and genetic diversity in central and peripheral populations.
· Mechanisms that determine the introduction, establishment and spread of invasive species.
